Default Front (Side) Housing Removal without rebuild

Just like the thread title states is it possible to remove the front (side) housing without rebuilding or taking apart the seals and rotors (86-88 n/a).

I have to replace that housing due to the top ear breaking off some how, but with the motor running perfectly fine didn't want to delve any deeper than necessary.

I know it's possible to do the front cover, but was just curious about the rest. I have read through the manual but it doesn't really answer this question.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Well that sucks, but I kinda feared as much already.

Thanks for the confirmation though, it's appreciated.
