Just wondering if there is anything that i need to do before loosening the flywheel nut. I thought i read something somewhere once that said u had to do something special before pulling the nut.



I found out i shattered the clutch plate.... did a damn good job of it actually. B)

 

before you take the nut off, you have to lock the flywheel so it does'nt move while you try and take the nut off.

 

i found a giant angle iron in my "garage of death" to lock down the flywheel. actually i used one and broke one angle iron it twisted like rubber then i found a heavier one i used a 2foot breaker bar then another 3ft extension on that and i broke the flywheel nut loose. keep in mind this was in my driveway on the ground. i did the same thing for the front eshaft bolt

 

my mac half inch impact gun with adaptor has no trouble taking nut off and u can use t-bar puller to get flywheel off. friend of mine has a large snapon slide hammer,it`s even faster at pulling flywheel.

 

Leave the nut on the eccentric shaft a few turns so that when you pull on the flywheel it doesn't fall on you.
