I used a cheap autozone T puller to preload the flywheel then just smacked the flywheel with a large hammer, be sure to leave the big nut on the end of the eccentric shaft if you use this method (or probably any other method too) just threaded on a few turns. It will keep the flywheel from flinging off the eccentric shaft and getting damaged smacking the floor. This method worked for removing my stock flywheel and removing the AT counterweight during my rebuild (switched to the aluminum flywheel first time around).
That autozone T puller is a piece of crap though, I don't suggest getting any tools from there, the build quality is horrible. Broke the double flare tool from them first use.

the use of firewood to remove the flywheel worked like a charm, i had to beat the **** out of the bitch before it finally decided to pop off, now im gonna make sure the piece of firewood i used never gets burned,lol thanks for the help, now i can get the damn thing resurfaced and spend more money,lol piece and thanks :bigok:
