I would like to get an FD altenator from the autoparts store



the S4 altenator just plain sucks ***. it is a terrible alt, doesnt have enough output, and i've been thru three of them. (no, i do not have a HUGE stereo system with amps and such)



the only electric add on i have is an E-fan.. a very large one at that. all i know is it pulls 2800 cfms. anyway



what would i need to get an FD alt. into my S4 engine bay. thanks alot

You would need the alt, the battery prong deal in the back for the wiring, and the bolts. I believe you have to shave done part of the rear arm piece that bolts to the waterpump housing.

 

I think there is a slight modification to the pulley also. Some dude on the other board sells them with thte mods already done.
