a complete sr is $2000-$3000 then exhaust, boost controller, etc etc. it all adds up.

True... i do see what your saying but it would be making more hp if i added exhaust, boost controller, etc etc. It would also be the same as me buying a turbo II and adding exhaust, boost controller, etc etc.

But i think im gonna stick with and Fc3s i like the looks and it also has a lot of potential.

How hard is it to buy a N/A and then swapping a tII into it or would that be a waste of time. How much would it cost ? I think my insurance would be cheaper if i did that. Or should i just wait for a T II to show up.

Just wait for the TII

Turbo 2, DUH?

Well, I did the NA to GTX(jspec T2) swap and lets just its more work then I'd suggest. I only did it because I was partial to my NAs body and I didn't want to get rid of my car. However, if your thinking of the s13 vs FC3S...well, hands down the FC3S. After adding all the goodies like exhaust, big turbo, boost controller, etc to the S13...your only looking at around 250 to 300 at the wheels...which is really as much as you can put out on the stock block...an FC3S can get around the same 275 to 310 RWHP with much of the same mods, BUT your looking at way more weight and not as good of handling. If you can, find a '89 to '91 TurboII...that'll be your best bet...if you don't care as much for cosmetics, get an older '87 to '88 TurboII. Don't do the NA to Turbo conversion...its not really something a rotary newbie wants to attempt....

If you dont have full coverage insurance, it doesnt matter what you drive its the same.

Sick... Im going to be an owner of a rx7 then.

If i can get a n/a for cheap should i take it or wait for a tII

say like 1000 and less? <_<

Hmm, you're not gonna get very far with only $1000!

Rotaryman88 07-01-2002 03:50 PM

For $1000 you get what you pay for. If your looking for speed, just wait for a T2...you can pick up an '87 to '88 T2 for about $2500 that runs good but looks bad(needing paint, etc)...

Infini IV 07-01-2002 11:32 PM

Thx man. I've spent about $3500. I think the most expensive Thing I got was the exhaust. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif

a friend of mine was considering this exact thing, so i took him for a ride in my 90 GTU, down a winding road. He is looking for an FC now https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png and I am looking for a turbo, so I can convert people in a straight line as well.
