That is why I asked is there any simplier way to go to a exhaust/performance shop to get it done.

*shrugs*
you're right, they cannot remove your cats. But if you go up there with no cats, they can run the pipe.
good idea.
I didn't think that was possible. But what do I know anyway?

I think this was said before. Was it here or someone else? Anyway, someone suggested to take all the cats out of the car, go to the shop and ask to weild a straight pipe together - would that work?

Felix - A straight pipe isn't all that much money... neither is the presilencer or header. The silencer I'm talking about goes in the muffler, not the one near the cat (or where the cat is/would be...), sorry for confusion.

Take a gasket with you so they can make a flange for the pipe. If you don't they will **** you up and just weld the **** to the manifold.

True that, I don't plan on having them **** it up. I just hope someone can do it for me , besides Jim. Don't want him to have to go through the trouble, anyway.

There is nothing special about the flange on the exaust, its a universal thing. Mazda didnt come out with thier own design. The gasket is even the same as any other car out there.
