Well.. since I know it'll be hard to convince a muffler shop to weild me a 2" piping.... any other ideas to get rid of the cats, or try to get someone to make me a 2" piping?

I'm trying to look for something cheap, but good. Since rotaries do not like cats, and will eat them up quickly, I just want to get rid of the cats. That, or hollow them out sometime soon.

Any suggestions?

My exhaust setup is some pipe and a couple of mufflers....hope this helps.

Are you just looking to replace the cats, or the whole deal?

Probably the whole deal...but I dunno how I'm going to do it, if I can't even get a straight pipe from the exhaust shop.

What sort of pipe and mufflers do you have anyway ?

I don't know what's on there...I was told it's the original RB system, but there's no stamp. It's a 2.5" MP and DP into a 2" dual with nice stock looking tips, and it's LOUD.

One thing you can try with the front pipes is you can take off your cat and precat, bring them to a race or exhaust shop, tell them that you're building a race car and you need straight pipe with those flanges and in that shape.

Do you think that'll work? I mean.. taking the pre and main cat(s) off and giving it to them for the right piping size, etc?

If it does, and I get it in that size, it'll just replace everything so I wouldn't need cats at all correct? (making sure of myself here...)

I know your setup is different because you've got a TII, but I was only curious.

I was thinking tho.. if I can get them to get me the straight pipe, would getting a header be a good idea? I know it'll be loud, that doesn't bother me.... but curious on what you guys would think?

Really don't need a big of a piping on a n/a though.. bigger piping for a n/a won't give a siginficant change, or to my knowledge. I'm not sure about the stock size.

Do not go to a Muffler shop they are morons that will tell you that its illegal and they aren't taking a fall for you.

Go to some mechanic that dabbles in racing. Tell him you are Autocrossing the car and need a temporary straight pipe you can put on for races. If you word it right you will not get any static. If you cannot find someone to do it tell me I might be able to get a few made and sell them for a really cheap price.
