exhaust question

i just wanted to know if it would be bad if i bolted the main cat straight to the down pipe or would that destroy the cat???

no i think thats fine. thats how the jdm cars are, they do not have a precat.

just drop the cat!! or do have to pass emissions on this?

I'm with tooslogtu. Screw the cat and just put a test pipe there. Unless there are emissions where you live. I love Florida. I don't even have a presilencer Hahaha.

Precat is North America's way of screwing with us. You dont need it. The DP into the cat will be fine (as long as you're using a cat made for a rotary) - if you have visual inspection only, gut the cat and leave the shell - otherwise even with the downpipe going just to the main cat, you may have a tough time passing the sniffer.



Generally I keep a stocker exhaust around when I can to swap out for that once a year visual inspection. Its a pain, but its worth it...

ya well i live in california so some of the cops in my area are jerks and speed traps are in the plent so i didn't want me exhaust smelling like gas, lol. oh ya i was going to post this topic but i figure that its a stupid question so i will ask it here, when i switch the na diff with a turbo diff do i have to change anything else to get the turbo halve shalves to fit or will it fit into the na spot nicely
