Im looking into picking up either a max speed (2 1/2") or apex (3") exhaust. I would rather pick up the hks turbo dual exhaust but too much $$$. Both are free flowing and no matter it will be a single exhaust out of the passenger rear end w/ no cat. Any suggestions on which exhaust to pick up for better performance?

Thanks,

The FU*#IN% NEW GUY

I forgot to mention along with that since im getting a new exhaust Im gonna pick up the 3" Racing Beat Down Pipe. Good not and how much more power do you think I'll gain?

first of all if your getting full exhaust you will need a racingbeat fuel cut defencer and a manual boost controller would be a good idea. if your getting the 3" RB downpipe like i did . i would get a custom 3" mp made and custom dual exhaust with whatever 3" mufflers you want

Boost Controller is next on my list and its only gonna be a single exhaust is that a bad idea? No cat just staright back so it would go RB Downpipe to glasspack to exhaust. Right?

Thanks Vosko

You could also consider this exhaust from corksport. Sounds good and is a decent price compared to the Apex. Also all stainless steel and 3".

Exits out d/s.

thanks guys. yeah I know its gonna be really loud and im not gonna pass smog legally (sp?) but how much power do u think ill gain? I also like the corksport exhaust but Im getting these mufflers @ a homie discount cause my friend can give me close to their cost of the piece and i only have like $400 to spend right now. The downpipe is $125 and Exhaust is $150 and I need to get my glass pack some flanges and exhaust gaskets plus pay for the installation. So I guess Im already pushing it towards my limit. Id hold out for the corksport but Im already losing a lot of gas from my current stock exhaust (leaking bad).

With the 3" DP and catback, your looking at about another 2-3psi of boost which should give you anywhere from 18 and up, depending on what your other mods are...according to racing beat, their exhaust gives you 59HP...and its a DP, PS, and catback..so I dunno....

Also, warning on that glasspack...you'll be replacing it regularly...they don't hold up against rotary exhaust temps.

The RB exhaust is a great system. If you're going to make a custom exhaust and don't care about noise, then a Borla XR-1 would be ok.

Wait, I'm confused. Are you getting just mufflers and a DP?
