So for an introduction I'm swapping an S4 Turbo engine into my '88 RX. From looking where things went on the old engine, I've been able to hook up pretty much everything... except for a couple hoses and a wire.

First one is a hose connector on the intake manifold, it has no hose on it so im not sure where to look for the other end Its a fairly large one, the same size as the hose (right ahead of it) that goes to the air pump. I figure its too big to be a vacuum hose...

Second: I noticed a loose wire on the same side (passenger). Its black and has a single prong connector, comes out of the engine wiring harness right at the edge of the engine.

Third: On the intercooler... theres a small hose, which i know where it goes, but then theres a larger one also. Im not sure where the larger one goes. (could it possibly hook to #1?)

These are the ones off the top of my head.. I'll keep the list updated and maybe post some pictures if you guys dont know what im talking about.

Any help would be great!!

hi again, sorry its taken me so long, but ive finally got some pics for you guys, ill do them in a few posts.

the first one is a yellow wire coming from the back of the engine. its got one of those thin round connectors on it. any ideas where it goes? i thought maybe i forgot one of the ones that goes to the tranny but theyre all hooked up.

the second and third pics is a black wire coming from the engine harness.

4th and 5th this mystery pipe coming out of the side. its not the one that goes to the exhuast, that is right below it. im stumped on where it could go, so any suggestions would be great.

6 is what i have my fuel pressure regulator vaccuum hose hooked on to. now im not sure if this is correct, it just was my first guess because the line on the end was about the right length for the stock fpr. is this the right hose to attach it to?

these last two pics are for a few reasons.

first, the bendy hose sticking out of the top of the engine, from the intake manifold. I'm assuming this goes to the bigger hose on the intercooler? in both pictures (7 and 8) there are green arrows, they point to the hose and where i think it connects.

second, in the 7th picture, is the red arrow hose hooked up properly?

third, in the 8yh picture (the one of the intercooler) where does the red arrow pipe go to?

the first pic im pretty sure is o2 connector or water temp is the connector like a cylinder or box? the black wire in pic 2 looks like a ground idk i dont have a wire there on either of my cars? all those hoses and nipples can be eliminated and capped for simplfication ud need to purchase block off plates theyre cheap and will make ur life super simple. I purchase them from 2751engineering.com. after those are installed u will only need to run like 3 or 4 lines total.. id also eliminate the coolant hoses going to the throttle body..

the wire in the first pic has a cylender connector, the black wire in pic 2 has a little single square prong.

The cylinder yellow wire is for the coolant temp gauge it goes to a small nipple just under the oil filter.. The black wire might be for the airpump idk iv never seen that wire in any of my tII's or my buddies na.. Yeah you can get rid of and plug all that ****... You will need a FPR, air blend line, Omp lines, blow off valve line, map line and any lines for guages. Look in to removing the rats nest and blocking off emissions. Once u have the block off plates u can pretty much remove every thing u should only have the lines I listed left when done
