I managed to start it up again to get it off the road. Then I had it towed back home.

The next day it started up fine. I drove it around alittle and place octane 104 in it.

the day after I got nothing.

I did a ghetto compression check( i couldn't find my compression tester), replaced the fuel filter, check the CAS and the leading and trailing coils, new spark plugs, cleaned the post on the battery.

I'm checking the vac hoses now

what else I'm I missing? what I the world could cut off my car while in 5th so suddenly?

and what this jibba jabbar about the AFM? do they go bad all of a sudden?

86 GXL

Thx in advance

I'm not 100 % sure If i'm getting a spark I checked the resistance from the leading/trailing coils and they seem ok.

any other method to check for a spark?

I do smell a hint of gas on my new plugs.

I haven't check the injectors yet.

could all of them go out at once?
