I though the big screw on the front did the low range and the screw on the back of the throttle body (near the firewall) did the high range?

lol, maybe i'd have to look at it. a buddy of mine bought a white vert and he had a white coupe and they both had tps check engine lights, he swapped tps's from car to car, and that fixed it

lol, I don't know either, I have had 1 S5 car and no S4's, it seems everyday I learn something new. It seems strange that swapping the TPS from car to car would fix the problem, but whatever works I guess.

Before you toss the bad TPS, try some contact cleaner.

Spray it in the gap between the plunger & the sleeve, work it in, & blow it out.

I use CRC "QD contact cleaner" from the electrical section at Home Depot.

It's good for all kinds of switches, contacts, position sensors, & controls.
