So the check engine light is on, until I touch the gas, then it goes off. Car seems to run just fine. I've seen it bounce the idle up and down a bit, but it settles down once warmed up, and it never shuts off on its own. Any ideas?

Maybe the low range plunger on the TPS sticks momentarily? If it's out of adjustment the check engine light will usually illuminate.

try adjusting the tps, like an s4. it may not fix the problem. s5 is kinda lame, 2 tps's but they dont adjust seperately like they should
