Hello my name is Darian I have a 86 RX7 and I'm planning on rebuilding the motor but I ran into one problem I'm trying to take off this eccentric shaft bolt off! and I was wondering if I can use a lil blow torch; and a breaker bar to get this blasted thing off? Also I happened to see that someone on here was saying that there was 3 guys standing on the motor while the one person was hammering or working on the bolt... this thing is on there pretty darn tight!!! someone please tell me what can I do because I'm low on tools lol

if it hasnt been rebuild before then its factory lock tight which is very ******* strong and a bitch to get off if you have an impact gun then you can get it off after about an hour of working on it even with a really strong impact gun it still gonna take about 30 mins

Low on tools? Put it in a pickup or back of a car, drive to a shop that has a huge impact gun, hand them a 6-pack and see if they can pop it off.

Hopefully your not using a cheap craftsman or IR impact you will never get it off. Find someone with a nice snapon or Mac. My Snapon took it right off with the flywheel locker on.

Use an impact gun, preferably a big one. If you dont have one that will do it, go to a truck stop or diesel mechanic.

Ive seen impact guns rated at 450 ft lbs not be able to budge the front bolt if its really on there.
