Right now the car sits at my fathers house in Ohio, who has no clue what a rotary even does. He can change his own sparkplugs and oil, and thats about his extent of car knowledge. So I am having a hard time getting good answers on what the car is doing, has 120,000 miles on it, not sure what it even looks like under the hood.

Dad says "You should like it for what you paid for it, it has some of them go-faster mufflers on it!"

Once I get there I will be tearing into the system and hopefully will not be rebuilding a motor while I am home. I was so blind in wanting a FC I did not even notice that the car was a 2+2 till after I had bought it.

The seller could not have been better, especially working with my situation overseas. Title was signed but not dated He delivered it after 2 weeks of e-mails back and forth and was completely honest.

What worries me is that my father says there is exhaust coming through one of the mufflers, but not the other hopef ully its just the way it is designed and the flow is just directed more to one side.

Once I get started expect a bunch of questions specific to a N/A I am not used to working with the stock motors, so this should be a party. Put a standalone on an engine and I can figure it out, give me the stock unit and I am scratching my head @ the rats nest.

Vosko, thanks bro, maybe when you get your FC on the road and I get mine going we can meet up at one of the tracks and see what happens

Ok just got this in from my father...

I started the car and let it run for awhile. It started right up immediately. It idles at 1300 rpm and I couldn't get it to step down. Tried over revving to get it to settle down and all it did was backfire and go right back to 1300 rpm. Any ideas?

Help a brother out guys, looking at what has already been replaced what can you tell me with this?

Sounds like maybe the thermowax on the TB is not getting coolant or something (not heating up enough). I'd check that, check the throttle cable to make sure it's not too tight, then set timing, idle adjustment, and TPS of course.
