no, not the driving either, its something about a rx7 that lets it launch harder, and faster



I drive the evo 8 the other night, and then the guys rx7(88) and the 7 did have better launch than the evo and pulled harder through first gear. i think its cause first gear in these cars is so low.

Remember our torque comes at 3800rpms i think so we have some low end, we dont need to rev that high

Mazda did a decent job of balancing the rotary's low torque by giving the RX-7 a low rear end ratio (4.10) and a low first gear (3.483). Whether or not you feel the 7 is fast off the line is a matter that may be debated.

the FC is faster out of the corners than my 240 and my friends 240 i can tell that much. But hey, it could be the drivers.

Turbo engines are slow at low rpms, NA engine could be faster than turbo NA= High Compressed, Turbo= Low Compressed, but when boost kicks in its a different story, about the supercharged engine it will be hellable faster at any time because boost will be at any rpm even at idle and will raise as the rpms raise.
