Ok I got tired of haveing my idel lumpy as **** so im gonna start trouble shooting it.

I realized one thing to day I have my 86 Injectors running on my 88 ECU would this have any Ill effect considering they are diffrent Impedance?

Another Thing my seconday injectors are not fireing. I Reved the motor up to 6K then I disconnected both secondary injectors and reved it and the engine reved the same with no hesitation.

My engine has to have a forced vacume leak I have the preassure sensor dissconected if I plug in the nipple where the vac hose goes the engine dies. If I do plug it in I have to raise the idel and it gets even lumpier.

What would cause the secondary in jectors not to fire?

Does having the 86 injectors with the 88 ECU cause an thing?

What could be causing this need for a vacume leak?

Any help would help you guys.

Take the injectors out and have then cleaned.

I'm not positive for 88 and older engines, but unless under a load, on 89+ engines, if the secondary sleeves don't actuate in neutral, I can't imagine why the secondary injectors would need to add fuel.

I Am gonaa have to take it out on the street with the secondary ijectors disconected to see if it is only onder load that the fire!

Like I said, on 88 and older engines I'm not 100% sure, but you can certainly tell the difference if you drive the car on the street w/o secondary injectors, The car would run like complete **** ( I don't recommend doing this)

Have your injectors cleaned, do a tune-up, check all the grounds, basically, go over all the low dollar items from least to most expensive and remember:

These cars are fast approaching two decades old; rubber wares out, wiring gets brittle, dirt and grime are everywhere, it never hurts to be tedious when inspecting and repairing.

you need to make sure you're running the right impedance injectors. the ecu's are all the same, if the car had low impedance injectors they added a resistor pack, so the ecu always sees high impedance.

it does make a difference although i forget which way it runs richer and which way runs lean.

the car will rev up with no load on just the primaries, its when you add load it really needs the fuel

My car is an 86 Sport When I swaped in my 88 SE motor I left the 86 injectors on but the 86 ecu was fucked so I just threw in the 88 ECU
