Anybody every done that thing where you prop the headlights up half way in the front? How do you do it? I think it looks raw as hell. As long as it doesn't cost too much I'm all about doing it.

it's absolutly free. pull the headlight retractor fuse (main fuse boz under hood)

than under each headlight there is a manual adjustment ****... feel or look under there you will see what i'm talking about. there might be a black plastic protective boot, remove that to show the ****.. than turn as to desired height..

p.s, i have this setup on my car now, and i like it. been like this for about a year i put them down everyonce in awhile. like if i am going on the highway, i put them down. Wouldnt wanna loose my pretty little headlight covers

Yes, it has happend to me. when you have sleepy eye and your doing 130+, dont expect your headlight covers to hold on. one of mine is still Missing! lol, it's been long replaced.

So once you put the head lights up to a desired height manually, you have to put them back down manually?

Can you make a default height so when you turn your lights on they pop up to this height.

I was thinking of making a custom linkage to be able to set the height so you can raise and lower them with the switch but they would only go up half way..

i dont remember who it was but i was reading somewhere the a guy ran a toggle switch to the fuse and quickly flipped it when his lights went to the height he wanted... i dunno how well it would work but its an idea

That would work but you got to have good timing.. I would be afraid of burning out the motors though but If I can mechanically figure it out I will let you guys know...

i have "drifter" eyes, but only cuase like a year ago.. i was messing with my headlight set up's

i was manually moving them to put them in sleepy eye mode.. about a week later i went to put the relay's back in the car (individual relays for motors) and than i turned everything back on, and my passenger headlight would flip up and down non stop. someone said that i 'manually' turned the motor to far one way. does this sound correct?

I would like to fix my headlights.. but not if the motor is busted.

Well reading the FSM I saw a diagram of the motor and stuff.. A shorter linkage bar seems like the only thing necessary to make it work.. If I can get a piece if aluminum I will try to make one.. maybe even adjustable..
