Is it possibly to remove the spring from the upper left portion of a door handle and re install on a non working door handle? I have an '88 Vert that this is basically the last thing I need to take car of before I sell it and I was curious if this was possible or if anybody has done this? The thing is, is that I have two good spare handles laying around but I dont want to have to repaint them, so I was thinking maybe remove some of the hardware and re-use it on my current handles?

Its usually the actual metal of the handle the breaks not the springs or mechanisms.

I better double check my handle then. I know that one of the spring mechanisms from the pulled bad handle was missing one from one side.
