I don't care much for the PS and the only reason I left it on during my conversion was because I was thinking I would have to change over to a manual steering rack to remove the Power steering...is this true? Can't I just pull the pump and bracket off and forget about it. well after talking to mike about it i figured why not. Its deffintly going to be expensive though im going to do it in stages and keep the na engine in for a while the last thing i buy will be the 20b engine

wow awesome seppuku, You can keep the ps steerin rack as mention, I recently put in a manual rack, lost some weight and much cleaner, but now I need an alignment and it costed me $80...

yes... you can keep the power steering (rack)



But it will be very heavy, i dont have PS on my car, and i love it. took about 2 weeks to get use to it..



and dont even think about turning while stopped.. lool



If you do get a manual steering rack it's very easy to drive. almost to easy...



so i just took the pump off, and than removed all the hoses. Love it. so much more room in the engine bay



especially not having A/c or an air pump Just a motor and alt.. lol pretty sweet

the racks shouldnt differ much in weight.

manual is like 3 lbs lighter, but yes they were refering to how hard it is to turn the wheel...
