I don't care much for the PS and the only reason I left it on during my conversion was because I was thinking I would have to change over to a manual steering rack to remove the Power steering...is this true? Can't I just pull the pump and bracket off and forget about it. The car will mostly be used on the track and I don't like the looks of the ugly ass bracket, not to mention..I love getting extra HP https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

wow awesome seppuku, You can keep the ps steerin rack as mention, I recently put in a manual rack, lost some weight and much cleaner, but now I need an alignment and it costed me $80...

yes... you can keep the power steering (rack)
But it will be very heavy, i dont have PS on my car, and i love it. took about 2 weeks to get use to it.. and dont even think about turning while stopped.. lool If you do get a manual steering rack it's very easy to drive. almost to easy... so i just took the pump off, and than removed all the hoses. Love it. so much more room in the engine bay especially not having A/c or an air pump Just a motor and alt.. lol pretty sweet |

Yeah that's what i meant. It just makes is Stiff when turning the wheel. But it's acctually really nice once you get use to it. I'm not even sure if i am going to get a Manual rack anyway...

I messed up my rack when I looped the lines (incorrectly) so sometimes mine is easy to steer and sometimes it's rather difficult. I have a spare that vosko gave me (will my car be cursed if I put it in there?https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR), but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet.
