I have seen this done a few times before and am wondering how you people get your AFM's out of the way to use straight filter. Is there some kind of stand alone fuel management system that I need in order to do this? or possibly even cross a few wires here and there at the ECU? anyone help me out here?

you have to have the afm. go here and they have a afm addapter and cone filter you put in place of the stock air box.

The FC's you see with no AFM have a stand alone EMS. They are running MAP based with a TPS reference (usually).

There is NO other way to remove the AFM from the system.
