Differencial and tranny viscosity and capacity?

Will royal purple 75W90 work well? Also does any know the capacity of the tranny and rear diff. Thanks!

capacity is, fill it till it drips out lol.



no seriously i dont know the specific quantity, but look for the FSM it lists it, you can find it for free download just google "rx7 factory service manual" or something.

thanks! the recommended viscosity is 80w90 but, I'm curious if I can use 75W90...

Found out the tranny uses 2.5 quarts! What about the differencial? Also will the difference in viscosity of 75 to 80 matter?

Slight variations in viscosity won't matter, IMO. If you're using a good quality product like RP, you won't have any problem.



As I recall the diff takes around two quarts. Maybe three at most? If you have a limited slip unit, make sure you have a gear oil made for limited slip.
