with an 89T2 the resale/value of the car is al ot higher than most other FCs with the convertible being the exception. Once you start yanking all the stuff real people don't want to buy them and they are worth **** all. S5TIIs are rarer then FDs

I know there are places hotter than south fla. but I sweat alot and hate when there is no A/C in my car, I guess some guys love having that big wet sweat ring marks under their arms..................

I am having mine put back in as it never worked before.............just to avoid smelling like a barn full of cows................

I don't like alienating women

OH and my car came with manual steering........and I have been fine with that.

I smell like an oil refinery after driving my car anyways, so any sweat smell is not noticeable. I haven't had a/c for over 2 years, I've gone on many many dates in that time. I've never gotten a complaint.

In my FD:

I removed PS and AC. For the PS i put bolts in the holes and here is why. With a steering rack full of fluid and a loop, you are pushing all that fluid around when you turn. So, i undid the lines, and turned the wheels lock to lock once with a catchpan under the rack. This drains some of the fluid out of the rack. If you dont drain some of it and bolt, the rack will be nearly impossible to turn. The fluid that is left in the rack lubricates it.

Now the FD has 255 potenzas up front, and i honestly love the feel of no PS. Its not really tough at all when in the parking lots.

My AC did not work, and I dont D/D the car, So no remorse there.

After working on FD's for a while, I would be happier to buy a car without ac and PS, because it makes working on the car easier and more importantly faster.

Yeah, FB has AC but doesn't work I have debated rebuilting the 12 and fixing the A/C, summers are bad here in Arkansas, but I usually work nights so I sleep through the day.

I guess I will still think on it.

you can be a man all you want, let me see you go to dinner or wedding or something with a date in your non-ac car when its 100 degrees outside and your sweating like a pig.

That's a good point, take it into consideration.

Alot of people remove stuff they don't think they "need", then after a while without it they suddenly hate the car because it has less luxury and more hassle.

Depends on your application for the car, do what works for you.

if its a weekend only spare car thats going to have 350-400hp or you will autocross or roadrace it only, then the decision is simple

if its a DD then the answer is once again simple.

It might be my daily driver for a couple of months, but I plan to buy another DD by the start of summer.

Right now I am leaning on keeping it. I will find the weight savings else where on the car. I haven't weighed the car, but I am hoping that I am going to right around 2800 when complete, anything below that is even better.
