I was driving to the junkyard today to pick a replacement headlight motor. Was following a car and in front of that car was a huge, bus-sized rv. I saw something fly up from behind the rv, so I slowed down a bit. A few seconds later the car in front of me swerved to the right and I saw a big piece of metal appear in front of me. I think it was a shock absorber or something. I didn't have time do to anything but straddle it. Made a huge bang and the car jumped up a bit. Right after that the exhaust got louder. I was afraid I might have punctured the oil pan or radiator. I looked at my coolant and oil pressure, were all ok. I made it to the junkyard and looked underneath. The driver's side muffler had a huge tear in it! Dammit! I was planning to get a new catback soon, but I need one like now. Anyway, I was able to get a headlight motor for $25. Also found a k&n stock replacement filter laying around that they junkyard gave to me for $10. I got to change the oil on a customer's car and then I am going to RP to pick up a new catback.

I had a similar thing happen to me in the AE. Only it punched a nice sized hole in my radiator, and I was about 2 hours from home in BFE.
