I made a custom TID from the local hardware store for under $20. It increased my boost by about 1 psi.
I want to do this. Can you tell me just what exactly you bought with your 20 bucks? PVC pipe? Aluminum rain gutter? Irrigation pipe? Threaded iron pipe?

Let's see, I bought about 3" of 3" ID PVC, a 3" to 3" rubber coupler, a 2" to 3" rubber coupler, a 3" PVC 45 degree bend, and a brass 1/8 - 27 npt, 7/32 hose barb. I've got my AE all ripped apart right now, so I'll try to get a pic. up soon.

if you take out the FTPs and cut the rubber seal that goes around the front of the hood you will get some better ir flow. the air will go over the radiator support and get in there. also you could run some tubes to right in front of the ftp holes to get some more air in there
