I have a freshly built and streetported s4 turbo motor that will not idle. It needs a little throttle fluttering to get it running, and when it's running, it seems to run perfectly fine, but it just will not idle. It doesn't even try. I've let it warm up for 15 minutes with my foot on the gas holding it at 1000rpm, and as soon as I let off the pedal, it dies just as it does when cold.
Although, I still have to fiddle around with some of the vacuum lines and crap, but now it does seem like the TB mod might have a lot to do with the non-idling problem.

Bah. I think my car is just very groggy, having been undergoing exstensive surgery for the past 5 months.

Also, my defrost vents don't line up with the holes in the dash. I removed my dash awhile back, but I don't remember how things are attached back there. Do I have to remove my dash to get them to line up?
dash removal=bad
dash removal=bad

by removing all of the AWS system on the TB...you have totally confused the ECU. The only remedy as for as i know is to adjust the idle up a bit higher when its cold. I did this and it runs fine cold or hot.

I hold the gas down for 30 secs then it holds a 750 idle just fine. but will stall out on the first stop sign if I just stick in the clutch at 2000-3000 rpm. so I need to gently hold the gas to lower it down to idle instead of it just droping. after that it's fine.

Maybe Im just the exception, but the only time I ever had issues with it holding an idle when cold was when I had a vacuum leak. I spent a lot of time on the intake manifold to make sure there were no vacuum leaks when I built my last motor, and it started and idled fine when cold, and this motor is doing even better.
