Ok today I was running it with a friend of mine in an 88 FC down okeechobee and I went out at a 5K pulled thourgh 1st Redline, 2nd redline,3rd Redline, 4th at around 5-6K I smelled coolant, No smoke no overheating nothing. Stoped and looked for coolant Nothing. I was like what ever did another run and Again smelled it in 4th 5-6K. Then later on on another run it smelled again but this time when I was stoped at his house like mabey 2 min after the hard runn the temp went up to half when it is usually 1/4 temp on the gauge. I usually know if im a little low on coolant when at idel standing still the temp goes up to half. Tomorrow i will have to put colant in it,

What would cause this leak at that speed or rpm I dont know, my uncle that is like 1/8 mechanic told me that since I have 2 rad caps one of them might not be holding preassure and leaking or opening under high preassure.

I'm thinking the same as well. Are the floorboards soggy?

I thought read somewhere that the stock water pump cavitates around 5k RPM.. perhaps it's pissing some out the weep hole when he goes?

There must be coolant stains somewhere under the hood.. go look..
