You know the little elbow ontop of the thermostat that make like a 45 degree angle? It's plastic on my car. The old one was out of metal, however, and it was ideal for tapping a temp sensor to. Is it possible to switch to the metal one? Will it bolt right up? If so any one got any for sale or give away?

 

the 86-88 is aluminum and the 89+ is plastic. they changed the bolt pattern in 89, although you might be able to rig an 86 one, or get an aftermarket jdm metal 89 one
