Hey, I like that idea! Windshield washer setup gives you a tank, a pump, tubing and spray nozzles! Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! :bigok:

Tell me something I don't know. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I've meant to try it on my car, but I was always too lazy.

A machinist friend of mine made a air/water IC using 2 heater cores from a pinto (I guess the pinto heater cores are pretty big) to use onn his turbo Saab.

I've already started designing the system...and yes, I'm using windshield cleaner sprayers too...so :P

It was my idea first, I SWEAR... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Designing? All you need is a few vacuum lines. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Nah, nothing is that simple w/ me, lol...I want everything to look good and be perfect...

I'm having an aluminum canister made & polished by my buddy that will hold enough water and ice...I have to get some T's and some extra nozzle which I should be able to just locate off a junk car somewhere, lol..I'm gonna mount them in 4 locations. I also need to order extra feet of blue silicon hoses, lol...Also, I'm trying to figure out a way to make the nozzle more of a mist then a spray, ya know? I don't want to spray water onto a hot manifold and crack it or something... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Aren't you going to spray the IC? A fuel injector may work well, but I don't know how it would like spraying water.

Yea, the IC will be sprayed, but I'm also gonna have a colder mist/spray while sitting in the staging lanes that cools down the manifold/exhaust/turbo area...but like I said..if I spray ice cold water onto a really hot manifold it may cuase damage, lol...a long time ago I jumped a really hot dirtbike into a creek and cracked the block...so I know how hot metal reacts to cold water https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

You could try making some heat shields.
