I'm glad to hear you are changing the tranny and the differential! I thought I could get away with doing so, and broke both in fairly short order. Here is what I did to the diff - it came out of the car in 2 separate pieces!

Here is a bigger pic of it. You can see some of the places I had to build up with weld to end up with a nice flow. If I remember right I used about 1lb of aluminum TIG rod on it.... The engine made great power - too much power for everything else behind it!

now if you are set on turboing an n/a motor thats how you do it!!

hey, i encountered another problem. when i went to put the engine in, i passed the new engine harness through the fire wall to connect it to the ecu and the plugs are different. now i have a N370 ecu which those plugs dont work. and i have a N326 ECU, and those plugs dont work >:/ .. thats got me in high thought. also, there is two that connect from the engine harness to the ecu, and theres one that is suppose to connect from the driver side harness to the ecu. the one from the driver side connects perfectly but the ones from the jspec engine dont.
if u have a suggest or a solution please contact me. |
put a motec m880 in it lol they are only about 10 grand and can control emissions and all that good stuff https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
lol j/k i cant help you on that..just post whoring |
Isn't the N326 ECU for the NA?I know the N370 is a S5 T2 ECU.As for your wiring....I hope rotaryman88 can help.Hes got a J-spec in his.He might know the wiring part of it.

Unfortunately I never got around to dynoing it. It kept breaking things; tranny, diff, clutch, and finally blew the water seals. Had evidence of the rotor housings moving in relation to the side housings which eroded the sealing surfaces and the seals.
Don't get me wrong - it was a stock, unported 6 port using a stock S5 turbo. It wasn't making huge horsepower, but it did work quite well considering how cheap the parts were. Jason |
