Ok.. today me and my boy were performing the conversion. and i dropped the trans, drive shaft everything. loosened the engine mounts... but when we looked at the wiring to the NA. and my JSPEC engine its a lil different. the Jspec has 4 clips for vacuum hoses. the NA has 5. 3 colors match, 2 dont. i know that japan has lower emissions than US. does anyone know how to overcome this prob?

The na harness is different from a tII.

Slightly different but not to much. It doens't have the wires for knock control and soem othe rstuff. YOu better get yourself a TII harness and the sensors for it or go haltech

THe color clips for the vacumm hose is the least of the problem to worry about, that's no big deal.

Rotaryman88 02-23-2003 10:51 PM

Yea, get a T2 harness or haltech, using the NA harness will only lead to problems, lol...

...not to sound like an ass, but have you properly researched this conversion?

I'll be more then happy to help as I have done this twice now, lol(as far as pulling an Na motor and putting a T2 motor in...twice)...

what kinda $$ are we looking at here. Not everyone is rich but we all want the break neck acceleration of a turbo =P

IS yours running yet?Yours should be running before 1revvin7's right?

1Revvin7 02-24-2003 07:34 AM

You have got to be kidding me, guess I will just link this thread.....

Rotaryman88 02-24-2003 11:29 AM

Lol, mine WAS running with the Jspec as far as having all the wiring harness going, I even drove the car on one rotor for about a week, lol. However, I have not yet started my new motor. In theory I should have mine running again before revvin https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I just need oil lines, which have been on backorder now for a lil while, I'm gonna contact the company shortly to check on there status. If they get here soon, the car will be up and running by mid to late march...and ready for track use by april.

Rotaryman88 02-24-2003 11:30 AM

BTW, the writeup i did was completely wiped off our server due to lack of space,lol...but I'd be more then happy to answer any questions you have...you can email me at rx7tech@1320engineering.com
