I just had to get rid of the stock air intake system, and this is my creation. You can really Feal it pull harder than the oem setup, and it sounds really cool!!

You don't want your afm tilted like that. That metal pipe will probably absorba a lot of heat. Mazda made the intake pipe rubber for a reason.

I have my metal piping wrapped with thermo tec insulating wrap. You may want to try that.

yeah, i wrapped mine (Al CAI tube and TID) in aluminum insulation tape then with aluminum tape for durability. it's pretty cheap at lowes and home depot.



if you dont wrap it, it kind of defeats the purpose of a CAI since the cool outside air is just heated downstream.



also, the bottom of your pic isn't showing up. reattach it.
