okay, today is has been a good day, knock on wood. i put in my new wires and plugs and, since my car actually started, i decided to go with the momentum and finish my CAI project.

after cutting a 3" jagged hole next to my radiator, and moving the coolant reservior and removing the little electric fan (hope i dont need it), i wrapped my TID in Al insulation and did the same with the intake duct.

we'll see how well it works tonight after work when it's cool...

here's my previous engine bay setup:

good job bro!
thanks, i figured you'd appreciate it. actually, it does feel like it pulls harder, especially when the cool air get flowing in there. i pull so hard in 2nd, especially when i drop it from 40 mph

as for materials, autozone sells 3" aluminum intake pipes for honda civics, like $40 (pricey, but i couldn't find any PVC parts that would work), and i wrapped them all in aluminum insuative tape then again in aluminum foil tape.

i did the same with the stock TID.
