I have built my track car with input from the RX7 road racers around the Seattle area, that I trust ,and I decided on....
Ground Control plates with eibachs springs, the Tockico Illuminas had to have the tops machined to fit the upper plate correctly, (buh by warranty), and I have the pillow ball bushing. (pain in the A$s job, might as well replace the bearing while it's apart.)
My local guys have reset the alignment and marked the track camber and toe and the street setting so I can switch it reletivly easily. The springs,/height were done with 4 scales. I am picking it up tonight now that the cage is finished.
I am looking forward to seeing how it does now that it is set better than my initial Scientific Wild *** Guess! (SWAG) I can say that you have to want the maximum handling advantage bad as is is a STIFF ride, and here in the Seattle area we have potholes you can see by Satelite!
This is my daily driver and there is a price to be paid! Best of luck with yours, I know I'll like mine first time I take that Z car on turn 8 at Pacific Raceways!!

WOW, it is worth the stiffness for me! Did my first track day at Bremerton and was consistantly 65-70 in the slaloms on street tires. (old Kuhmo esctas or sumpin) I had the struts at 3 for my initial testing and won't mess with it till I have the race tires, spacers and negative front track camber on, but I am happy happy! Lookin forward to what it does in a race setup!
Next time I have to slog it to Portland I might whine, but all is forgiven when the track time comes!

That's weird. I've got the ground controls on Illumina's and I didn't have to modify the strut to make the stock mounts work, but I didn't go with the pillow ball, either. I went 440 in the front and 300 in the back, and it's solid on the road. More solid than I am in the driver's seat. I went over a crest in the road and whacked my head a good one against the ceiling

Yeah I had a nasty bump near here where there is monster road repair going on, and I am glad I was strapped in tight, but I think I shrunk 1/2 an inch on launching and landing.... Bad news is, with the concrete guys on strike, makes me wonder when that awful stretch of I-5 will be finished... I try to avoid it at all costs!
