Thumbs up

I just had my clutch replaced with an ACT Street / Strip clutch and pressure plate, along with a Racing Beat lightweight flywheel. This thing catches quite a bit harder than my old stock clutch... Almost snapped my neck letting off the clutch for the first time.

Anyway, my question is this. I noticed the clutch pedal is quite a bit sloppier. It now has much more play and doesn't engage until 3/4 of the way down. What causes this? How is this adjusted. I am taking it back to the dealer first thing in the morning, but he already started down the "those aftermarket parts have those problems" road. I would like to be well informed going in there.

Thanks.

Default

Either the clutch line needs to be bled, or the rod on the back of the clutch pedal needs to be adjusted. Both are quite easy.

Do you have any kind of shop manual?
