cleaning my tranny

well gots some time to kill i have my turbo 2 tranny i just got it and its preaty dirty so want to clean it up some. i got some all purpose concentrated degreaser called awesome. Gona try to clean it with this. Well i alredy started cleaning part of it its doing the job so far. Basicaly never done this so is there anything i gota watch out for? can i even use this stuff to clean it? what else can you recomend to clean it?

Well im done for now. I cleaned as much as i could and was very carefull not to wet any of the sensors. This is as clean as i could get it for now.

I was going to say to make sure you keep water out of the shifter area.



a little brake cleaner will work for those harder to reach areas.



I gave the thing a coat of paint when I was done, hoping it keeps dirt from sticking to it a little better.

Did the same to my rear

Looks good and it cleaned up pretty well.

Thanks everyone for yout input. Yeah so thats as clean as i could get for now. I will definitely try the carb cleaner to get the rest of it cleaned this weekend.



I can definitely agree we all do like a clean rear at least I hopeso lol
