OK, here's the deal man... i am not going to give you the runaround... but is there something wrong with your current exhaust? Do you just want to get more sound out of the engine itself?

OK : Your car is not just a car, it's an Rx-7... It is an extention of yourself as a person... and not to mention one of the best sports cars ever made.... (everyone agree)??

Dont be cheap. Get a good set of cat-backs that will last a long time, look good and sound good.

Sure you might have to fold under and spend alittle more, but you will like the outcome in the longrun

Recommend: racingbeat... Or Borla. Personally i wouldnt use anything else.

The mufflers on the car are broken out where the tail pipe is attatched, rest of the mufflers OK except for a small hole in one. I am going to try to have a round piece cut and then weld it in to the end of the mufflers to repair, then weld on the tail pipes. The Y-pipe is in excellent condition. To clear things up, if I were keeping the car I wouldn't be so concerned about cost, but rarely do you get your money out of performance mods on a car when you sell it. I have to buy new tires for the BBS wheels I got used (four bolt), so I am trying to save money elsewhere. I also really want to paint it as there are a lot of door dings and some scratches. I want to paint the mirrors and side mouldings body color to update it.

For the record. I would LOVE to keep the car! I have a 1979 RX-7 that I bought in 1989 which was the first car I ever bought. For sentimental reasons I can't sell the '79, and I would also like to hold onto the first car I bought. Lots of memories in that car.....girls....tickets....etc. I've also got an '86 GMC truck that I redid with 35 inch tires, a Saab 9000 turbo, a 1964 Triumph TR-4, motorcycle, and working on a vintage race TR-4. Too many to add another RX-7 as much as I would love to.
