funny because I always tap the gas so it DOESNT run at 3000 rpms, lol

It might be the thermostat staying open?Tricking the car into thinking its warm already.

oh actually there is a switch in the bottom of the radiator that basically tells the ecu to cold start it, and turn the emissions system on. the wires get pinched under the battery tray, or maybe the switch broke. it could be that too

Whats it look like i got to put the under panel back on tommorow so ill check it first. Another thing i noticed is the needle on the temp guage is sitting lower now. I dont know if its from the under panel being off, the sensor not reading right, or the new coolant?

the sensor is in the lower left of the radiator, under the battery. its got 2 bullet connectors, can't miss it

if you think that the car is thinking its not cold..water thermosensor (shot in the dark here)

yeah mine always jumps up to 3000 and then i tap the gas and it drops to 1500 till it warms up, then to 750 and idles perfect for the first time EVER, thanks to ITO.

My car is dfoin the same exact thing!!!

well before i put my new tranny im it would start up at like 3 k for like 20 seconds or so and when i put my new tranny in..... it doesnt do it anymore.....

i kinda liked it but now its quieter when im leavin at 3 in da morning and dont wanna wake up the whole neighborhood...

but is it a plug or somethin???

maybe a tempeture sensor

You guys could do the TB mod and remove the thermowax assembly if you want. I guess the car will just warm up slower then.... I havent installed my modded TB yet so Im not sure of how it acts on start up.
