In fiberglass it would be much less.

If we could get a hold of one we could make a mold of it, but the costs/labor may not be worth it.

I would question the function of that hood, how does air get in there? A cowl induction is a design that is older then all of us, it works. That hood looks to be more of a flashy thing then function. As for the white mariah hood, I would do a cowl induction, the vents in the side of the hood can be cut in no problem as it will come out of the mold soild. And as for the louvers in the hood next to the headlights- thats a no go, #1- it will look too much like thier hood, and I dont want that, and #2- I dont like them. Whats everyones opinion on hood pins? That is one thing that would save alot of labor, and if people wanted a skin that they could epoxy to thier original hood that is a option as well. I got to tell you though, the advantage of carbon fiber to fiberglass isnt in weight, its in strength, and for a hood- glass is absolutely adequate, if you want to be all "HEY LOOK AT ME I GOT A CARBON FIBER HOOD THAT DOESNT MATCH THE REST OF MY CAR BUT I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW I SPENT THE MONEY ON A CARBON FIBER HOOD", then I guess thats fine as well, but youll pay a hefty premium.

That "reverse scoop" hood is supposed to allow air to escape from the radiator. I'm not opposed to hood pins, but it would be nice not to need them. Maybe if you could use the stock hinges, and just have pins at the front.

You would think the flow of air over the hood would PREVENT air from escaping from that vent? Hinges in the factory spot are a must, and if the pins are so much work to eliminate that people dont want to pay the extra money for them, Im sure one or two of the right people's cars will not have them anyhow https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
