I was wondering if this is a problem: The upper radiator hose on my car is very hard after I get done driving it. The temperature gauge is around 1/3 the way up the gauge, but the intake manifold feel much hotter than usual. Could I have water pump issues, or am I just blowing things out of proportion? Thanks.

I wouldn't be inclined to assume its a problem. If you've checked the system cold and its full of coolant and the gauge is reading normal, I'd say its probably fine. The hose is going to be a bit hard, because you've got what, 12 psi or so in the system before it burps past the pressure cap and into your overflow. Hmmm. You do have the right rad cap, right?

as stated, its normal for the hose to be hard, its under pressure when its hot
