i have an 88 turbo II, besides tps, what else would cause my car to not be able to rev past 6500? it just sounds like its sort of cutting out...... it hits full boost and pulls hard then once it hits around 6500 it doesnt pull anymore and wont redline...

any ideas besides tps? its not really a hesitation, its almost a cut out but the car is still trying to rev... hard to explain but hopefully someone will know what i mean! i'm at stock boost as well.

 

Sounds to me like ur afm, but if that was the case dont know if it would be letting you rev to high. Does it kind of sputter and try to rev higher but seems to cut out? Because those were the symptoms of when mine when bad.
