question... what does it do? The one on my car is shot, is it necessary, or just emissions? The car is a 1987 T2. How much do they cost?

the bac is used as emmissons as well as a type of I.A.C. but the vehical can run with out it. just the car will be a cold blooded bitch and may not idle properly with out it.

it's a idle control device that creates a computer controlled vacuum leak. it doesn't slow your car down, it makes it run better. keep it.
