high flow cat, passes emissions no problem and runs the same as when I had no converter here you can see the custom y-pipe, thats a siamese y-pipe, second pic you can see the mufflers http://robx-7.nopistons.com/userimag...a691e789d4.jpg http://robx-7.nopistons.com/userimag...30cafb033d.jpg |

If not how loud is your setup compared to stock? The car is definitly louder then the Borla system, mine doesnt use the same mufflers, those are the first run of Sportsmen mufflers on there, this was before Borla had a RX7 exaust and when racingbeat mufflers were still steel, I hate rust so I went with the Borla because they are entirely stainless steel, there is like no packing in them, when they are off the car you can see right through them. I had a straight system with a racingbeat presilencer ( again before they were stainless ), the car was wayyyyy to loud and it smelled. I put that high flow converter on the car and noticed no difference whatsoever, car passes NYS dyno emissions no problem. I paid $800 total for that exaust because it was custom made by KOOKS Headers. First I had aluminzed pipes and the borla mufflers, then when I went with the coverter I had them make it all stainless. For the money, the Borla cant be beat.

clockstick@shaw.ca Thanks. I didnt mean that in a nasty way, I was just pointing it out thats all |
I just got the Borla system yesterday, only to look at the system description and find "86-92 Mazda Rx7 NON-TURBO"!!! What the hell!?! I mean I probably should've done some more research, but I was almost positive that this system would fit turbo models. Does anyone know if I can still install this and why its not applicable to turbo models? I'm just starting to get familiar with this car. 1987 TurboII with 36k miles, bought it at 34.5k miles for $5000!!! Yeah it was quite the steal. Anyways, what exhaust system should I put on her? The stock system I have right now has some holes in it, and I couldn't wait to get this system put on. Now I have to wait longer https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png I appreciate your guys' help and any other recommendations you have.

Nevermind guys. I guess the spec sheet only says NON-TURBO because the diagram is for a n/a model. I'm SO relieved! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif
