thats his point

exactly.

why do so much work and then use a stock ecu and waste some potential power?

give it all or nothing, i say . still an awesome looking job, and mucho props on doing what most people just talk about. cant wait to see/hear the results.

You gotta start somewhere.

Not everyone has the time, money, or experience to immediately jump into an EMS as soon as they start doing mods.

im doubting that putting a supercharger on his motor was his first mod...let alone his starting point.

that comment is funny tho. the way you say it that means slapping a t51 turbo on without any other mods is fine...i mean cause you gotta start somewhere right?

Whats he got, an afc and a cat back? Hes still got the stock exhaust manifold.

Its not what turbo you run that determines the need for an EMS, its the boost. Your assuming a person with a big turbo is automatically gonna run 15-20 psi.

Werent you running a hybrid on a stock ECU? Would you suddenly need an EMS if you got a full T04 and ran the same boost?

Another one, I'll upload it to Street Fire in a second...

As for Stand Alone, it'll come soon, I already said that, but I just want to get the supercharger working right for now, then the stand alone or engine back exhaust comes.

honestly the car needed the EMS while it had the hybrid on there, its evident once you crack the motor open. so if i went full t04 then yes id need an ems. in fact i went t78 and got an ems...and if youre gonna tell me i can run a t78 good with a stock ecu ill need to slap you.

Plus whats the point of a big turbo running 5.5psi? itll hurt your power #'s if anything.

But i dont wanna ruin this topic so its over, to continue this discussion start a new topic or PM me.

Honestly guys, I have no idea where to begin for a stand alone...we managed to get this working (my self & SonicRAT) he did MOST of the labor, I helped doing misc tid bits like drilling and boring, etc but my main part was actually getting it to idle, extend the harnesses, etc.

Does anyone have any websites? Price is not a concern because I'm about to get a $15/hr job coming from a $10/hr job...even know it's not a concern.

PM sent...

Tech_Geek, Get an EMS or an F5 to keep that thing fueled. Dont worry about the exhaust at this point.

Dial back your timing a few degrees if you havent already.

I ran it today at +50% Fuel WOT and boy did it run...retarding the timing will kill what power the kit produces won't it?
