What kind of power will that produce?

Also, why do you have the belt off your P/s but the actualy P/s pump is still there?

Well, they say 170 RWHP at 5 PSI, this is at 8 PSI, we're guestimating around 200 RWHP.

Because this isn't the money shot, haven't had time to put everything back together yet.

jefraney 11-14-2005 09:08 AM

Looks awesome man.

Ive been thinking about doing this setup in a jet ski for some time now. How close does the SC come to the strut tower?

One320B 11-14-2005 09:13 AM

I'm assuming your using an NA engine right? Looks good... any specs on the motor, or is just a stocker?

RONIN FC 11-14-2005 09:31 AM

Pretty cool, hope you dyno it soon to post some #s.

NoeVuh 11-14-2005 01:13 PM

Thats awesome. I can't wait for the dyno number too because i was really considering supercharging my N/A. If you are using the high compression rotors shouldn't it have more low end power?

Tech_Greek 11-14-2005 01:23 PM

1) Low end power is awesome, havent been able to test out the high end yet (injector harness extensions, at work now)

2) Two inchs maybe of cleareance if that between the tower wall and the charger.

3) I'm a walking bill board for Camden lol!

jefraney 11-14-2005 02:06 PM

2 inches. That may be a little too wide for a jet ski. You running headers or stock manifold (cant remember if you have to run headers with this kit)? Is the supercharger about the same width as the exhaust?

Tech_Greek 11-14-2005 03:51 PM

The supercharger extends about a inch longer than the stock manifold heat shield from what I can tell.

teknics 11-14-2005 05:28 PM

so why is the MAF still on there?

kevin.

Tech_Greek 11-14-2005 05:29 PM

Because it's not a stand alone?

drftk1d 11-14-2005 05:31 PM

thats his point

Thats what im wondering? Are you even gonna use an SAFC?

Tech_Greek 11-14-2005 06:15 PM

Yes, I'll eventually go stand alone.

I've got an SAFCII right now on it...

fc3s4utnv 11-14-2005 08:30 PM

Did you buy the kit new? I am really intrested in seing some numbers off of this car, but I am going to use a carb if I do it.

Tech_Greek 11-14-2005 08:33 PM

No, I actually got it from Snub.

I'm not expecting hot results, that was never the intention, just to have a nice little fun car though was.

Tech_Greek 11-14-2005 11:32 PM

http://media.putfile.com/RX7-SC-Uncompressed

Without any compression - pure S/C whine!

NoeVuh 11-15-2005 12:01 AM

Its as if a choir of angels are singing

pretty sweet dude

exactly.

why do so much work and then use a stock ecu and waste some potential power?

give it all or nothing, i say https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png. still an awesome looking job, and mucho props on doing what most people just talk about. cant wait to see/hear the results.

RONIN FC 11-15-2005 01:43 PM

You gotta start somewhere.

Not everyone has the time, money, or experience to immediately jump into an EMS as soon as they start doing mods.

im doubting that putting a supercharger on his motor was his first mod...let alone his starting point.

that comment is funny tho. the way you say it that means slapping a t51 turbo on without any other mods is fine...i mean cause you gotta start somewhere right?

kevin.

fc3s4utnv 11-15-2005 06:05 PM

Can you host that vid somewhere else, I cant watch things off of putfile.

Whats he got, an afc and a cat back? Hes still got the stock exhaust manifold.

Its not what turbo you run that determines the need for an EMS, its the boost. Your assuming a person with a big turbo is automatically gonna run 15-20 psi.

Werent you running a hybrid on a stock ECU? Would you suddenly need an EMS if you got a full T04 and ran the same boost?

Tech_Greek 11-15-2005 08:59 PM

http://media.putfile.com/RX7---SC

Another one, I'll upload it to Street Fire in a second...

As for Stand Alone, it'll come soon, I already said that, but I just want to get the supercharger working right for now, then the stand alone or engine back exhaust comes.

honestly the car needed the EMS while it had the hybrid on there, its evident once you crack the motor open. so if i went full t04 then yes id need an ems. in fact i went t78 and got an ems...and if youre gonna tell me i can run a t78 good with a stock ecu ill need to slap you.

Plus whats the point of a big turbo running 5.5psi? itll hurt your power #'s if anything.

But i dont wanna ruin this topic so its over, to continue this discussion start a new topic or PM me.

Honestly guys, I have no idea where to begin for a stand alone...we managed to get this working (my self & SonicRAT) he did MOST of the labor, I helped doing misc tid bits like drilling and boring, etc but my main part was actually getting it to idle, extend the harnesses, etc.

Does anyone have any websites? Price is not a concern because I'm about to get a $15/hr job coming from a $10/hr job...even know it's not a concern.

PM sent...

Tech_Geek, Get an EMS or an F5 to keep that thing fueled. Dont worry about the exhaust at this point.

Dial back your timing a few degrees if you havent already.

I ran it today at +50% Fuel WOT and boy did it run...retarding the timing will kill what power the kit produces won't it?

RONIN FC 11-16-2005 07:52 PM

LOL, im sorry, I just noticed I didnt add the "r" in Greek.

Yah it will be a little compramise in power. But your boosted engine wont be long for this world with the N/A advance. Contact Camden or Atkins, ask how they feel about it.

Alright...

Tech_Greek 11-16-2005 09:23 PM

Where can I get either stand alone at, can I tune it my self, that's the reason why I have the piggy back AFC!

fc3s4utnv 11-17-2005 07:15 PM

Less timing= more boost more fuel=more power. You can throw a bunch of timing in to the mix but then you will juts beat the motor to peices. Pull the timing back add some fuel, for saftey.

Tech_Greek 11-17-2005 08:11 PM

The fuels maxed out right now...

As of last night I'm having problems with the belt slipping at high rpm...really sucks because the supercharger lays you in your seat then bam the damn thing slips and it goes back to N/A crappy power.

fc3s4utnv 11-18-2005 07:27 PM

Get a gatorbite belt. They guy I work for had that problem on his '03 SVT cobra, that belt stopped it all.

Tech_Greek 11-18-2005 10:20 PM

I'll call camden monday and go out there tomorrow and find out whats squeeling, for all I know it's the idler pulley, it doesn't do it anytime but under load.

I cant watch those either, damn net nanny will get it.

Tech_Greek 11-19-2005 06:50 PM

Yeah, you're SOL...why do you have netnanny on your computer?
