You should be able to pick up an 89-91 turbo and manifold that needs rebuilding for $100-$200.
Mine flows just fine with a larger compressor on it. Even if it spikes, it barely gets over 7psi with full exhaust and intake.

Bryan at BNR says the S4 hotside is better for porting. The S5 starts larger but the back runner can't be opened that much without making the runner to thin.

im still waiting for mine to come back, you can either send them a turbo or they have cores they can build I opted for the s4 stage three with all the options listed on rx-7store.net. A guy I know put down 294 whp on a stage 1 @11psi!
