I believe the biggest u can run on a S-afc is 720s( unless you go the high to low impedance deal). You should sell it and buy a s-afc and some 720s then. S-afc is like 400-500 i believe.

You can get an S-AFC for around 315 + shipping. Just go to www.gothamracing.com. Yes the S-AFC will controll 720's. I have friend with this same setup on his 87 TII. BTW what year turbo and motor are you using 87-88 or 89-91?

NO! you will want to purchase a wideband if running a haltech so you can tune and monitor AFR all the time. what do you think all the race cars run, haltech, motec, microtech, wolf, none of them have knock control.....

I dunno, the TEC3 supports knock retard afaik and has all the other features of the ones you mentioned. The wideband o2 sensor should be used regardless, it's just for safety, at least if you lean it out and start knocking it will take out timing faster than you will be able to react... **** just think, air in fuel line, injector issues, injector harness issues, retarding timing will lower the damage.

afaik alot of the fast *** grand nationals run speedpro (aka fast) which has knock retard, actually depend greatly on them since you need to run agressive timing to really take advantage of that motor.

I don't promote using knock for tuning. I however do promote preventative measures, if knock retard can help keep you from a rebuild if for some reason there is some detonation, by all means....

i didn't know the TEC 3 could do that i had one sitting on my floor and sold it. i know its a great unit. the problem with knock control as i know it. is that it is NOT accurate.... engine noise can sometimes times be picked up as knock and it only retards leading timing which COULD have the lead fire before the trailing........... just some issues for knock control on a rotary...........
