big brake kit

i wanna auto-x in the spring and i was looking around at brake kits.

do any of you guys have any big brake kits on your cars, and if so what do you like or dislike about them.

any reccomendations?

you don't really need a big brake kit for autox. more so for road racing......

Big brakes would be a waste of money if you don't road race the car. If you have stock rotors and good pads, you should never experience fade. If you put on big brakes just for looks, then be prepared for some extra rotational inertia.

In fact be carefull what pads you get as some of them have to be heated up before working well.



I've had good luck with Hawk street pads. A bit grabby at first but they wear in good

For auto x I'd just put good pads on the stock rotors...Mazda really knew what they were doing with the brakes on these cars.

mazda engineer's like negative G's...so they put killer brakes on 2nd and 3rd gen rx7's. Huge brakes are only needed for SCCA 20 lap races. On the other hand big brakes look cool
