you don't really need a big brake kit for autox. more so for road racing...... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Big brakes would be a waste of money if you don't road race the car. If you have stock rotors and good pads, you should never experience fade. If you put on big brakes just for looks, then be prepared for some extra rotational inertia.
|
In fact be carefull what pads you get as some of them have to be heated up before working well.
I've had good luck with Hawk street pads. A bit grabby at first but they wear in good |
ok i guess i got a little gung ho.
i do wanna auto x in the spring and i wasnt sure how much of a difference it would make. |
For auto x I'd just put good pads on the stock rotors...Mazda really knew what they were doing with the brakes on these cars.

the TII has BRAND new OE rotors all around... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

mazda engineer's like negative G's...so they put killer brakes on 2nd and 3rd gen rx7's. Huge brakes are only needed for SCCA 20 lap races. On the other hand big brakes look cool https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bling.gif
